Transactions of the Philological Society (TPhS) is a linguistics journal published three times a year by Wiley-Blackwell on behalf of the Philological Society.[1] It has appeared since 1854, making it the oldest scholarly linguistics journal.[2] It is currently edited by Paul Rowlett (University of Salford).
Each year, one issue of Transactions is devoted to a specific theme, with previous thematic issues including Languages of Early Britain (2011), Germanic Philology (2006) and Nominal Composition in Indo-European Languages (2002).[2]
